The Michigan Health Sciences Libraries Association, in collaboration with the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services and the National Network of Libraries-Greater Midwest Region, identifies and negotiates a variety of group purchases for member libraries. Participation in MHSLA and/or MLC discount pricing offers may require MHSLA or MLC membership. Join MHSLA now!
PLEASE NOTE: Although MHSLA strives to provide equal services to all of its Members, certain Members may be ineligible for certain services due
to geographic or other restrictions imposed by vendor licensing.
NLM Duplicates Program
The MHSLA Resource Sharing Committee has been collecting books from the National Library of Medicine's Duplicates Program to distribute to interested MHSLA Members. The Committee recently received another shipment of free books. The list of titles is available here:
NLM Duplicates Title List - April 2015
These books are available to your libraries free of charge - you don't even have to pay for shipping!
Please review the book list to see if any of these titles would benefit your library. If you're interested in receiving any of these books, please submit the following in an email to Merle Rosenzweig (firstname.lastname@example.org): title(s) of requested book(s), your library's name and address, and the person in your library who should receive the books. Titles will be reserved on a first come, first served basis, although slight discretion may be used to distribute books as fairly and evenly as possible. If you request a title that has already been selected by another MHSLA member, you will be contacted by phone or e-mail. Requested titles will be shipped as soon as possible after the deadline.
If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Resource Sharing Committee Chair, Merle Rosenzweig.
